Job Summary

The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for managing all electrical systems, power distribution, and control equipment in the food manufacturing facility.

The role ensures reliable plant operations, equipment efficiency, and compliance with food safety and electrical safety standards. This position also provides leadership to the electrical maintenance team and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production reliability and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the electrical maintenance and engineering team.
  • Plan, design, and oversee electrical installations and processing lines, packaging and utilities.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with food safety, HACCP, and statutory regulations.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee troubleshooting of machinery, control panels, PLCs, motors, and power systems.
  • Prepare and manage annual electrical maintenance budgets.
  • Collaborate with production and mechanical teams to support smooth plant operations.
  • Conduct electrical risks assessments and implement safety improvement actions.
  • Train and develop electrical technicians to improve technical capability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electromechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • Professional Certifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in industrial automation, PLC programming and control systems.
  • Experience with utilities equipment such as chillers, compressors, boilers, and generators.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
  • Sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
