Job Summary

The Head of Training and Development Organization is responsible for leading the strategic direction, management, and execution of all training and development initiatives within the organization. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong track record of delivering impactful results, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and driving organizational performance through skill enhancement and talent development.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the organization’s training and development strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of learning and development.

Program Design & Execution:

  • Oversee the creation, delivery, and evaluation of innovative training programs for employees at all levels. Ensure programs are relevant, engaging, and measurable in terms of impact and outcomes.

Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of trainers, facilitators, and instructional designers. Foster collaboration, professional growth, and accountability within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to assess training needs, secure buy-in, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to maximize efficiency and impact of training investments. Manage the training budget and ensure cost-effective delivery of programs.

Change Management:

  • Champion organizational change initiatives, ensuring employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt and thrive.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Ensure all training programs comply with legal, regulatory, and industry standards. Maintain high levels of quality and consistency across training offerings.

 

Job Specifications

Academic / Professional Qualifications

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field, (Doctorate degree is added advantage)

Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing effective training programs that drive measurable business outcomes.
